What song is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Now.
I don’t think it’s a guilty thing.
Because there is no hiding it.
I love One Direction.
They are a boyband.
Of course I love them.

Like I said, it’s not a guilty pleasure, because I will never regret anything to do with music.
I love Best Song Ever.
I love it.
It’s one of those songs that you can scream at the top of the voice.
Not quite I want it that way, but it’s close.
The lyrics are cheeky, and god knows who is Georgia Rose, with a dad who is a denist, but who cares?
(Also, from the lyrics, you kinda learn a lot of Georgia Rose).

And the music video.
The music video.
There’s the bit where Liam did the shimmy, and there’s the bit where Harry wore the silly glasses, Louis in a fat suit and of course Zayn dressed up as Veronica (yes, ‘she’ has a name)
I cannot take it when I see cute little Niall doing the boyband thing, because One Direction was (is?) a never proper Boyband.
Even James Corden said so.
And Niall so always wants to be in a proper boyband.
He can dance, he can sing and he plays the guitar.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the rest of them too, but Niall is a true boyband member.
He is the only one that really knows the lyrics when One Direction sang the Backstreet boys.

So yes.
I love Best Song Ever.
It’s one of my favourites from that album.
The others being Don’t Forget Where You Belong which was written with one other than Tom and Danny and Dougie Mcfly and Through the Dark is the other one.
When Don’t Forget Where You Belong came on at Wembley, I was the only one that screamed when Niall said he wrote it with Tom and Danny.
I was THAT sad.
People thought I was weird.

But I just like to source of the song.
Seriously.

One Directon OTRA Tour St The O2 Arena

And I am back at the O2 again.

Fuck it was good.

Just a quick note before I start to go through the setlist:
I have said it before, and I’ll say it again.
They sound as amazing as before.
In fact, they are sounding better than ever.
Liam’s hitting all the high note, Harry is giving the songs more character and more depth, Louis’ vocal is getting stronger and stronger, and though Niall still looks like he belongs to 5SOS or the Vamps or McFly or McBusted, he is a little perfect One Direction nugget.
Love him.
Having see them pre-Zayn and post-Zayn, I really don’t think it makes much different.
The only different is that the boys prove the fact that they can take on more responsibility, more shitty management and are still amazing as ever.
They played a little bit of everything before the boys appeared on stage.
It took forever (we didn’t get there until about eight, when the door opened at half past six) for the show to start. I missed the support acts completely (except for like the last 3 minutes of the last one – but from what I heard, didn’t miss much) and we sat until about nine before it starts.
Personally I think for a One Direction show maybe that’s a bit late. I mean, most people there are so little!
Way past their bed time.

Anyways.
Here’s the setlist (and my comments):

Cloud
The opening song. It was good as far as an opening song go. I am not a fan but they sound amazing.

Kiss you
You can never have enough of the “chinny chin chin”. Niall sounded so cute, always did, and always will.

Fireproof
This was the free song released when Four was announced. It was available to download from the website, and I remembered thinking “ohhhh it sounds like the Backstreet Boys”. This song has grown on my so much though. And sounds amazing live.

Girl almighty
Liam’s favourite. He said so himself.
And I love how boyish Niall’s voice is in this song.

Midnight memories
Can’t go wrong. Really can’t go wrong with that song. I do miss the guitar solo in the first verse though, but the a cappella is so good. Harry’s voice is dropped with honey.

Better than words
Niall’s part in the second verse:
Best I ever had, Hips don’t lie
You make me wanna sss… (Grab crotch) One more night

Always always makes me giggle.

Story of my life
I personally think this song is overrated.
Beautiful song, don’t get me wrong.
But on the same album with Through the Dark and Half a Heart, I think this song is definitely overrated.
But like I said before, it’s a brisk risk song, and it really really highlights the boys’ voices – really don’t go wrong with the tuning on this one.

Stockholm syndrome
This one was a hype amongst One Direction fan and there is a reason.
The song itself has a very calming yet slightly disturbing melody.
Sometimes it gives me the chills.
The visual on stage was perfect.
I haven’t actually talk about the stage shape. It’s in the capital letter ‘i’ shape, with two diagonal line across the top, like when you turn the capital letter “h” 90 degrees. When they sang Stockholm Syndrome, they stood at the diagonal part of the “i”, and above them a box came down.
It was laser lights.
They looked like they were trapped in a massing red box, especially so many times Louis stood at the corner and reached out.
As if he stuck his arms out but his body can’t get out.

Ready to run
Harry Styles was definitely ready to run.
He was running round the place like there is no tomorrow.
Cute little curly headed boy.

Don’t forget where you belong
The moment this starts playing, I literally wants to burst into tears.
As a tradition, the moment Niall mentioned he wrote this song with McFly, I screamed.
So loud.
So so loud.
Just to prove the fact that McFly/McBusted/Busted is always gonna me up there with the Backstreet Boys.
The bridge part where Louis and Zayn used to sing one line each:
Lights off when they should be on
Ever the stars in the sky, they’re wrong
Short days when the nights are long
When I think of the things I’ve done
Don’t matter how far I’ve gone, I’m always feeling at home

Louis now does it as a solo.
And it’s a beautiful solo.

Night changes
I thought Zayn’s part is very important in this song but obviously having Lenten to it a few times without Zayn, I can confirm that this song is still amazing.
Harry’s chorus is beautiful.
Louis’ soft voice for “hides beings a cigarette” always always get me going.

Little things
This is one of the songs that you can’t not love.
And Harry sang “it’s true, oh it’s you, it’s you they add up to” but definitely sang “and all his little things”.

Best song ever
Still the best song ever.
Hands down.

No control
This is the song that I can’t get enough.
The lyrics are dirty and the song itself is rather dirty too.
Love it.

Little black dress
Never pay much attention to this song but it seems lI’ve one they played.
There’s always one (or two) and I think this is one (of them) that I am not too bothered about.

You and I
The lights.
The lights.

Through the dark
This is a song that I quoted to my goddaughter when her parents split up.
This song means a lot to me because it was hoe I felt when her parents broke up.
I wanted to be there to guide her and be her rock when she needs someone.
So I was in I tears when this come on.

18
Louis definitely sang “I have love HIM since we were 18” I swear to god.

Where do broken hearts go
At this point I really think Harry needed to stop bouncing around. He was like an exciting little… FROG.

Little white lie
this is another song that I am not a fan of.
I so prefer little black dress more.

Diana
Love it.

Drag me down
First time hearing this live.
This is really good live.
I like the song live.
Also they don’t have to worry about spreading out the Zayn part, makes it even better.
They did say it’s the last song, but But Liam’s “this is the most Inconspicuous goodbye – see you soon” and Niall’s “we’ll be back soon” gave it away.
That was what gave the encore away.
Also.
They can’t not play What Makes You Beautiful.

Encore
Act my age
You could tell Niall really wants to do his little Irish dance, but with a broken foot he couldn’t do much.
I sang along to this one because this is my anthem. Literally. I love this song.
They all sang Zayn’s part in the second verse.
It was beautiful.
Especially the part when Harry took over.

What makes you beautiful
Back to their roots.
It’s was perfect.

Steal my girl
Great ending though I still think ending it with best song ever is going to be the best ending ever.
Because it is the best song ever.
